Accounts and forms

The site has no accounts, sign-ups or forms. It does not ask for names or email addresses.

Visitor statistics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referring sites and visitors' countries. It sets no cookies and does not identify individual readers.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense, an advertising service. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to show ads based on a reader's visits to this site and other sites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners choose ads from those visits.

Readers can turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings, and opt out of other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that show its ads is explained here.

Reaction buttons

The buttons under each story count presses. To count one press per reader a day, the site keeps a one-way hash made from the reader's IP address, the story, the button and the date. The address itself is not stored, and the hashes are deleted after the day ends.

Stored in your browser

The browser's local storage keeps the light or dark setting, favorite talents, and which reaction buttons were pressed today. These stay on the reader's device and are not sent to the site.

Content from other services

Fonts load from Google Fonts. Thumbnails and channel icons load from YouTube and Twitch. Broadcasts play in YouTube's or Twitch's own player, which loads only when a reader presses play. Each of these services receives the reader's IP address and follows its own privacy policy.
