Tsunomaki Watame Tames a Drakeling, a Gigantoraptor and a Lumina in Overnight ARK Session
The nearly seven-hour stream ended at dawn with word that she will take the captain’s place at an upcoming hololive live.
HOLOLIVE — Tsunomaki Watame tamed three new creatures during a nearly seven-hour session of ARK on the hololive server that began shortly after midnight on Oct. 20, Japan time. The haul was a Drakeling, a Gigantoraptor and a Lumina, a rare flying creature.
She opened by logging back in after two days away to find the base crowded with new dinosaurs, then spent the first minutes gathering berries and meat for hungry animals. The Drakeling came next. It kept demanding materials mid-hunt, and she chopped wood and mined stone to meet each request until the tame finished about half an hour in. She named it Komatta-chan, kept it on her shoulder, and soon tested its parachute ability by jumping off a ledge and gliding down without taking fall damage.
“I wondered if it would be lonely, if no one would be there, but it was really fun.” — Tsunomaki Watame, closing the stream
The Gigantoraptor took longer. Another talent guided her through a mimic minigame in which she had to sneak up on a nest while the parent was away eating eggs. Several attempts ended with the parent turning back or with her character getting stuck, but she finished the tame about two hours in and named the young bird Yukinko. Earlier, one of the participants had shown her a machine that grinds surplus creatures into kibble, the processed feed. She called it terrifying, and chat marked the moment with a flood of screams.
The Lumina hunt came in the early morning. With a gene scanner built by another talent to locate the creature, she flew out on a rabbit mount, shot at one Lumina too many times and lost it, then died several times to sand worms and the Lumina’s attacks before pushing through its memory-based minigame. A level-135 Kerberax, which one participant said tends to crash the game when tamed, drew much of the attention afterward. Over the rest of the night she built bunk beds and spotlights for a new bedroom.
As the stream closed, Watame said she would fill in for the captain at an upcoming hololive live and asked viewers to help her make it lively, saying the captain could not be replaced but she would do it her own way. She also said a collaboration in a game she had never played was set for 10 p.m. that night. The stream drew 13 Super Chats.
