Ex Albio Rebuilds a Storm-Hit Town Brick by Brick in a Nearly Five-Hour Chill Stream
He played the brick-construction game solo after finding out it was built for multiplayer, and finished with a tower and a bakery on the board.
NIJISANJI — Ex Albio spent just under five hours on Sunday rebuilding a monster-wrecked town in Brick by Brick: Tidy Up the Small Town!, a game in which players assemble houses from some 18,490 bricks by following blueprints. He opened the stream by congratulating the comedy duo Gerardon on winning King of Conte, then said he had checked and learned that the game, which he had assumed was multiplayer again, could be played solo.
Early on he worked out how to read the blueprints, including the width, depth and height notation for each block, and began on small houses first. Finished sections earned skill points, which he spent on abilities such as carrying more bricks at once, placing bricks continuously and pulling matching bricks toward him. Later he unlocked a mobile scaffold for taller buildings. By the second hour he said he had come to prefer finishing one wall at a time, and near the end of the night he completed a house he called very hard to build. He later noted that a tower used about 1,000 blocks, against 3,600 for another building.
“I’m glad I took the pull-in skill first. Definitely.” — Ex Albio, while upgrading his skills mid-build
As is usual for a *zatsudan*, or chat stream, the building ran alongside long tangents. He asked chat to name Japanese public holidays, tried to rank company job titles from president down, and compared notes on school student councils. He also talked about how he had grown up, about TikTok gift culture, about which Bleach powers he would want, and about the Kings of Conte routines he liked best. Chat answered with a mix of jokes and personal stories.
The stream drew 20,989 chat messages and 20 Super Chats. Chat called the mood “too chill” late in the broadcast. He closed by thanking viewers and floating a stream comparing different sausages, and said he would keep taking game requests.
