Takamiya Rion Spends a Midday Chat on Burger King, Aquariums and Stink Bugs
The Nijisanji streamer ate a delivery lunch through a 105-minute stream and said she would return that night with a Dark Souls broadcast.
NIJISANJI — Takamiya Rion of Nijisanji held a 105-minute midday *zatsudan*, or chat stream, on Tuesday, eating a Burger King delivery lunch and moving from aquariums to cosmetics to household pests. She said she had not done a daytime chat in a while and that her kitchen was empty, so she ordered food. She went with a mushroom Whopper and swapped the fries for onion rings, and said it was her third time ordering that burger.
From there the talk turned to aquariums. Takamiya said she has visited several, that jellyfish are her favorite, and that a jellyfish display at a spa in Tokyo first made her fall for them. She also described a shark-themed aquarium at a Las Vegas hotel, where a sunken-world exhibit unsettled her. Later she recommended a lip product, explained Christmas coffret cosmetics to viewers, and said she does not like going out because of the time makeup takes. She also said she considers herself dry but with a streak of the clingy, jealous “yandere” type, and said she was open to trying a fidelity-test segment.
“Girls are desperate to look cute. You really need to understand that.” — Takamiya Rion, on makeup
In the last half hour she said she keeps spiders at home and might thin out the young ones. She said she grabbed a stink bug barehanded once, threw it outside and cried over the smell on her hands. She also said she sprays peppermint oil around her building’s door and drains, though not indoors because of her cat. Viewers swapped tips and warnings about this year’s stink bug numbers.
Takamiya said she had work to finish and hoped to watch a competitive match that afternoon. She signed off by saying she would be back that night for a Dark Souls stream. The stream drew 2,808 chat messages, including 19 paid ones.
