The final run, on nightmare difficulty with an insanity challenge, ended with a fast ghost killing team members almost at once.

Regis Altare of Hololive English -TEMPUS- HQ spent more than three hours hunting ghosts in virtual reality in Phasmophobia on Thursday, joined by Banzoin Hakka and Josuiji Shinri. The group worked through several contracts, from an ordinary house to a diner, a lighthouse and a prison, and finished on a nightmare-difficulty challenge house where a fast ghost caught the team within moments.

The stream opened late while the VR setup was sorted out, and the first minutes went to calibrating heights and tracking, which drew jokes from all three about who was tallest. In the first contract, the ghost attacked quickly enough that one participant guessed a demon on that basis alone. The guess was right. A later run at the diner ended with the whole team dead before they had settled on a ghost type.

The headset’s battery gave out partway through. Altare said he would have to switch to PC mode, and the others told viewers the stable PC view would help anyone bothered by VR motion sickness. During the break, chat could be seen reacting to a mock lethal-technique “tutorial” from Shinri. Altare came back with a story about a standing desk that arrived in two boxes, days apart, and said he had been sick while away. Viewers sent get-well messages.

The lighthouse contract was the group’s smoothest. The team survived a spike to maximum ghost activity, and settled on a shade, a shy ghost type, because of how equipment behaved in the ghost’s presence. A restricted-map prison run followed. The last contract added the insanity challenge, which hides two types of evidence and removes setup time. The ghost hunted and killed two members of the team quickly. They put down a revenant as a last-second guess after reading the ghost’s entry, then called it a night with “GG”.

Before signing off, Altare said the next stream would probably be Don’t Drop the Cake, a game about balancing a cake, on Thursday or Friday, and that a collab with Axel was planned for next week. Chat signed off with the “OtsuStars” farewell, and three Super Chats came in over the stream.
