Mori Calliope of Hololive English -Myth- closed a 141-minute stream of the mobile rhythm game hololive Dreams on Monday with a five-star character from the final ten-pull of the night, after a slow start on the new swimsuit banner.

She opened by saying she wanted to play songs and also try the gacha, the game’s randomized character draw, because new characters had just arrived. She set herself a budget of about $100 for the banner and said she would not add more. Her first pulls produced regular five-stars rather than the swimsuit characters she wanted. “I can get some five stars, but not the ones that I want,” she said, calling it her punishment, and she turned to songs to earn red gems, the in-game currency that pays for more pulls.

“I sincerely apologize for that. You did nothing wrong.” — Mori Calliope, after timing out a viewer by mistake

Most of the stream was spent in multiplayer rooms, where viewers joined to play along. When the rooms filled almost instantly, she said some players use screen-reader tools that enter the room code faster than a person can, so she began covering one digit of the code on screen and asking viewers to guess it. She played new songs on hard, tried expert charts rated in the mid-20s and said she was learning how to handle hold notes and flicks. She also lost several runs to late mistakes, and she tried a Tri-Unity song with a hard-to-time ending before moving on.

Near the 1:38 mark she timed out the wrong viewer while trying to reach a different account. She apologized repeatedly, said the ban would last 24 hours and could not be undone, and told chat that clapping was now “outlawed.” Chat answered with crying emotes and salutes to the “fallen” viewer.

By about two hours in she had enough gems for the ten-pull, which she called the final pull of the night. It produced a five-star character from an earlier banner, which she said she had not expected. Chat had been asking for a five-star moments before it landed. She said she would go after the character she originally wanted later, then signed off, citing the Ocarina of Time finale stream she had planned for the next day and a recording session that afternoon.
