Emma★August Updates Devices on Air as PHP Security Flaw Dominates Chat Stream
The stream’s PSP title turned out to be a mix-up with PHP, a gag that ran through to the sign-off.
NIJISANJI — Nijisanji’s Emma★August opened a Thursday *zatsudan*, or chat stream, by addressing the security vulnerability reported in PHP, a toolkit widely used to build web services. The streamer said the phone, the computer’s operating system and Chrome had all been updated.
The stream’s title asked what was going on with the PSP, and the opening minutes joked about the confusion between that PlayStation Portable and PHP. The streamer said they were no expert and were passing along what they had seen on social media: a flaw could let passwords leak from affected services, everything should be updated, and any reused passwords should be changed. Big platforms such as X, YouTube and Discord were said to be unaffected. “I don’t know. I’d like you not to believe anything I say,” the streamer told viewers, and later thanked the engineers who had spent the previous night dealing with it.

The talk then moved on to lighter ground. Emma★August joked about how to report the day’s pursuits if the internet vanished, and announced that they had finally memorized the passcode to their home delivery box, which drew a burst of congratulations in chat. Around the half-hour mark the PSP did get its turn: the streamer recalled owning a black one, the whir of its motor and playing Project DIVA on it. Emma★August was drinking a cheap highball, saying they were saving money for travel after releasing a travel video, and later fetched a second drink for a toast.
Five paid messages came in. In one, a viewer described sensing colors when hearing music and said the streamer’s voice looked pale purple; Emma★August said the color suited them and settled on violet. The stream also wandered into favorite actors, films, and the business word “agenda,” which the streamer first took for a vegetable stew.
Near the end, chat noted that the stream’s subject was PHP while the title said PSP. Emma★August closed by saying the stream was about PHP, not PSP, and that they hoped everyone’s information would not leak too far.
