Maemi Tenma of Phase Connect unveiled her Halloween outfit as a light bulb, hanging upside down on screen, during a stream titled for the debut.

The reveal came after a setup. Tenma opened by showing a cute, high-heeled model and told chat it was not the outfit, then asked for predictions. Guesses in chat ranged from a clown to a jester and a werewolf. She recalled that her costumes in past years included a brick frog and a Limbus Company manager, and said an earlier plan for this year had fallen through because an old game would not run on her PC.

“I’m a light bulb. That doesn’t mean that I’m like good at spooky stuff alone.” — Maemi Tenma, after chat dropped out of sight in the dark

Around the 18-minute mark she suggested turning the lights down, remarked that the room was dark and that a light bulb might help, and then appeared as the bulb. She kept the joke going for much of the next quarter hour, telling viewers she could not be switched off, asking how many chatters it takes to change a Tenma bulb and cycling the light through different colors.

She then moved into a horror adventure game, playing as the lamp. She commented on the story as it unfolded and said the outfit would come back for the series because it suited the game’s ambient light. Before signing off she thanked viewers for coming to the stream.

Chat answered with a run of lamp puns, and the stream drew 3,318 chat messages and 60 Super Chats and Stickers.
