Tokoyami Towa of Hololive took an egg from a level-160 Ice Wyvern during a 5 hour 44 minute Ark: Survival session on Monday, then spent the rest of the stream raising it and chasing other tames. The stream was part of the Hololive community Ark server series.

The egg run came about an hour and a half in. After scouting the snowy peaks for nests, she sent her creatures ahead as a distraction and moved in on the nest herself. “Wait, 160 levels?” she said as the egg came into her hands. Chat filled with laughter and cheers, and the minute was one of the busiest of the stream. She called it frightening and said she had expected to die. About ten minutes later she took a second wyvern egg, level 90. Later in the stream she described the first attempt as a silent one, saying she did not dare speak during it.

“It was dead silent. I thought that if I said anything, it would be impossible.” — Tokoyami Towa, after the egg grab

Honey was the stream’s other goal. Towa searched the forest for beehives, and after being swarmed by the insects, she screamed and repeatedly retreated home, calling them disgusting. She returned later with a fellow participant in voice chat, and the two used insect repellent and a ghillie suit to sneak up on hives and hand-feed the bees a rare flower. They collected honey from several hives.

Towa then headed for the sea, where a crocodile was on her taming list. Working with the same participant, she fed the animal mutton in a shoal of aggressive wildlife, then switched to special kibble when the taming progress stalled. Once the creature was caught near the five-hour mark, she thanked her partner, who told her it needed no saddle. She also tamed a smaller creature near the end of the stream and gave it a name of her own choosing.

Towa closed the stream by tending the young wyverns, collecting milk to feed them. She said she planned to take her Pyromane to a cave and to work on Yutyrannus next time, and signed off because she had an early start the next morning. Chat saw her off with the usual “otsu” greetings. The stream drew six paid messages.
