Tokoyami Towa Fully Upgrades Her Swimsuit Card After 400 Pulls in Hololive Dreams
The streamer needed all six copies of the featured card and finished on the 400th pull, then spent the rest of the stream building a team for that evening’s event.
HOLOLIVE — Tokoyami Towa completed a full upgrade of her own swimsuit card in the Hololive game Hololive Dreams on Monday, reaching it on the 400th pull of a gacha, the game’s pay-to-draw lottery, during a stream that ran about 85 minutes.
Towa opened the stream by saying the new event had arrived and that she had spent heavily to prepare. She explained that a card is fully upgraded, a state known in Japanese as kantotsu, once she draws it six times: the card itself plus five duplicates. She started pulling in batches of ten and twenty. Around the ten-minute mark a gold result triggered an animation she said she had never seen before, and her first copy arrived at about 80 pulls. A second came at 90 pulls and a third at 110, which left three to go.
“I maxed her out in 400 pulls.” — Tokoyami Towa, after the final pull
The luck did not hold. She went through a long dry stretch, cleaning up her screen between batches, switching her display and, in her words, restarting the game as a kind of superstition. Chat joined in with its own rituals. A swimsuit Biboo card appeared around the 270-pull mark, and Towa said it suited the character well. By the 40-minute mark she said her gems were gone, and she kept pulling toward what she called the ceiling, the guaranteed point at which the game hands over the featured card.
The last copy arrived on the 400th pull, about 59 minutes in. She said she had fully upgraded Towa in 400 pulls, and a card for Luna that she did not yet own turned up as well. Chat answered with a run of applause and heart emotes.
She then turned to building a team for a solo event that, according to chat, started at 8 p.m. that day. She sorted her cards by technique stat, weighed which characters to put in the leader slot, and worked out which swimsuit members to include for the score bonuses. She ended the stream saying she would play Ark when work left her some time.
