Kobo Kanaeru Pulls a Run of Five-Star Cards in hololive Dreams Group Gacha
Chat jokingly asked for her account to be reported as the pulls kept coming up rainbow during the 68-minute stream.
HOLOLIVE — Kobo Kanaeru pulled a streak of top-rarity cards on Monday during a group gacha session in hololive Dreams, the mobile game the stream’s title refers to by its nickname, Holodori. The session ran 68 minutes and was aimed at drawing a card of her generation-mate Kaela from the game’s summer banner.
Several talents pulled together, and the captions do not always make clear who was speaking. Early on, a group countdown produced mostly lower-rarity results and some groans, and one participant said 120 pulls should be enough to reach the summer card. Around the 12-minute mark the group began landing the cards it wanted, and chat sent more than 360 messages in a single minute, many of them chanting the pairing name “Kaebo” or “iya iya.”
“Every time I pull, it’s rainbow. Report my account.” — Kobo Kanaeru, about 44 minutes in
The run peaked later. About 38 minutes in, one ten-pull turned up three five-star cards, and a minute later a voice on the stream said five stars had come in about ten pulls and called the result rigged before pulling the card at the center of the banner. At roughly 44 minutes she said that every pull she made was coming up rainbow, the game’s top-rarity animation, and told chat to report her account.
Chat took up the joke. Viewers wrote that the draws must be scripted and asked the game’s operators to look into it. Super Chats, six in all, included messages in the same vein. Later the group tallied their five-star pulls aloud, with counts in the double digits for some, and tried a fountain “ritual” in the game’s Harmony Garden for luck, after which one participant pulled a five-star card. The stream closed with the group still debating whether the ritual really worked.
