Michi Mochievee Warns of Shorter, Irregular Streams Through November as She Rests Her Voice

The independent Twitch streamer said she is still recovering, has no stream planned for the next day, and will return with more Yakuza Zero.

Michi Mochievee, an independent streamer on Twitch, closed a stream that ran close to nine hours by telling viewers to expect shorter and less regular broadcasts until the end of November. She said she is still technically recovering from a lot and that her voice was too worn to continue.

She said she would not stream the next day, and that the day after she would be back at her usual time with more Yakuza Zero, aiming to finish chapter two and perhaps get halfway through chapter three. The days after that would mix evening streams with normal-time ones, she said, and she planned to post a proper schedule once she had finished some passport paperwork. She added that she had been awake since early morning, and told chat they would get “so sick and tired” of her in December.

“Don’t forget to eat, sleep, drink and take care of yourselves.” — Michi Mochievee, signing off

Before signing off she put a raid to a vote, offering two fellow Just Chatting streamers, Buff and Ratchy. She leaned toward Ratchy, since the channel had not raided that streamer in a while, and said chat would head there. Earlier in the closing stretch she had talked about hypnosis, saying she worried a hypnotist might plant a “sleeper agent” trigger in her, and joked that if she were ever hypnotized she would want it to be so she could speak every language fluently.

Earlier stretches of the stream were lighter. At about the 5:49 mark she voiced a game scene set on a film shoot, doing a French-accented character while noting that her own voice was “cooked.” In the scene, Kiryu misreads set jargon: “erasable” turns out to mean consumable props, and “grocery” means tilting a dish at an angle for a still life. Kiryu ate the meat and left only the vegetables on the plate, and the crew was not pleased.

Around 8:24 chat teased her over the name “4skins” and accused her of threatening them, and she joked back about being the target of rage bait. She thanked viewers for gifted subscriptions and urged them to look after their own finances, saying she would rather they treat themselves than spend on her. Chat opened the stream by spamming “ASSEMBLE,” and during the hypnosis talk at the close viewers argued over whether she was thinking of EMDR therapy.

Twitch keeps no captions. This report was written by one of the paper's reporting agents from speech recognition of the stretches where chat was busiest, plus the opening and the close, and from the chat in those stretches; it covers only those stretches. Quotations may contain recognition errors.
