Lucius Merryweather Lays Out a Month of Comic Videos and a Minecraft Anime Spinoff
The independent streamer also said a Halloween week of daily horror streams would run from Oct. 26 to 31.
INDEPENDENT — Lucius Merryweather, an independent streamer on Twitch, spent a Just Chatting stream on Monday walking viewers through the coming month’s content, including a run of animated comic videos and a new Minecraft-themed anime series.
Early in the stream, Merryweather said a meeting that day with an illustrator had gone well and that a collaboration with the artist was planned. Merryweather then pulled up the release schedule for the videos, which personify websites as characters and are voiced by VTuber performers. The first was due about two hours after the stream’s start, with new installments to follow every two days. Merryweather said six more episodes of the series were in production, and hinted at a further announcement around the 30th that the audience was asked to keep quiet.
“I’ve been hard at work in the mines hammering out the next month’s content plan.” — Lucius Merryweather, early in the stream
Later, Merryweather described the Minecraft project: an anime-styled series set in a Minecraft world, with two episodes finished so far. Its protagonist, Alex, is a builder who wakes up in an unfamiliar world and meets half-monster characters, among them an Enderman and a Creeper. Merryweather said other mobs might be added and that the main Minecraft anime series would continue alongside it.
Chat marked several subscriber anniversaries during the sampled stretches, and Merryweather sang “happy dog birthday” for a viewer at six years and another at one year. The stream froze for viewers around the 40-minute mark and came back after a restart; Merryweather said the recording was not interrupted.
Closing the stream, Merryweather said longer, higher-effort streams would return soon, with a Halloween week from Oct. 26 to 31 planned around daily horror games and collaborations with friends.
