Limealicious Scrambles as Base Fire Breaks Out During Survival Game Session on Twitch
The independent streamer later fought an electric creature with a partner and set a return date of Oct. 26.
INDEPENDENT — Limealicious, an independent streamer on Twitch, spent part of Monday’s stream scrambling to contain a fire in the base of a survival crafting game. The streamer asked chat how to deal with the flames, wondered aloud whether they would burn out or spread, and then stepped away from the game to change the stream’s category.
“How do I deal with the fire? You punch fire? Really?” the streamer said as the blaze took hold. A few minutes later the question turned to what would happen while nobody was in the game. “Someone had to have been around,” the streamer said, and by about the 53-minute mark the streamer said everything was fine.
“I’ll change the category in a second, I was just panicking because the base is on fire.” — Limealicious, as the fire spread
Later in the stream, the streamer was clearing trees near the base and left several half-dead ones floating in midair. “Wait, no, why am I being judged?” the streamer said, a reaction to chat’s teasing about the trees. Another stretch followed an expedition with a partner, Nimi, that ended at a large electrified creature. Shooting did little, the streamer said, until a melee weapon appeared to work, and the fight ended with the streamer out of ammunition.
Chat kept up a running commentary on all of it. One viewer joked that the fire was in the game only for now, and another teased that the floating trees were the streamer’s fault.
At the close, the streamer and Nimi recapped the session, which covered several labs and a growing chain of crafted items. They listed a to-do list that included getting a rat suit and collecting leather, and agreed to continue on Oct. 26.
