Purin･Lala･Mode Pays Off Pikmin 2 Debt in a Near-Six-Hour First-Time Run

NIJISANJI — Purin･Lala･Mode, a Nijisanji streamer, cleared the company’s debt in Pikmin 2 overnight, closing out a first-time run that lasted nearly six hours. “Debt repaid. I did it,” she said as the total was reached. She added that she had not expected the game to end that night.

The stream picked up the game’s second session in the Snagret Hole. She lost Pikmin early, about 20 on the first floor, and said she was bad at fighting the big predators. The worst moment came about two hours in, when a single encounter on the third floor cut her squad to 29. She said she was crying, and that the difficulty had jumped several notches. She rebuilt by raising white Pikmin and by ignoring enemies that did not stand between her and the treasure.

Later, after a multi-stage boss fight that repeated its attack cycle, she said the battle had left her traumatized, and that she had spent longer fighting one recurring predator, the Kumachappy, than the boss itself. By her count she had lost 45 Pikmin by the end of that stretch.

Her next focus is Splatoon. She said she had been entered in a tournament on the 8th, her first, and that she had barely played the game.
