Gale Galleon Holds Vigil for Character’s Slain Wife, Then Springs a Halloween Prank
The Day 12 #FSFABLES stream ran more than seven hours and ended with Galleon building a set of Eldrich King armor.
FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION — Gale Galleon staged a candlelit vigil for his character’s murdered wife during Day 12 of the #FSFABLES Minecraft roleplay, then turned the gathering into a Halloween prank built around nightmare stalkers, the hostile mobs he had been farming for experience.
The stream opened with Galleon’s character in mourning. His wife had been killed the day before by another resident of the expedition town, and he told viewers he had to keep a somber face in public until “the right time.” He also showed off the result of the farm: about 1 million experience points and level 527. Over the first hours he reforged gear, and a fellow resident approached him with a proposal to break away from the old kingdom. Galleon’s character said he needed time to think it over.
“She was everything I wanted to be and she was everything I could aspire to be.” — Gale Galleon, in character at the vigil
The vigil began about three hours in. Galleon gave the first eulogy, and other residents followed, each placing a candle. The resident who had killed her apologized and said he would shun himself for the rest of the expedition. Galleon asked him to stay a moment longer, saying his wife had one last gift for the village. He then set up the portal and the stalkers poured out to a chorus of “This is Halloween.” Afterward the residents called it a good trick. Galleon said he had practiced the setup and was disappointed that only a few of the mobs came through, and he later called the resident who declined to open his gift a coward.
He spent the next stretch on quests with other residents, fighting a boss called the Harbinger and then trekking far north in search of Vesper wings, a crafting material. A misread map sent him in the wrong direction at one point. The later hours went to reforging, where he repeatedly rerolled a bow until it came up with Eldrich damage and the ability to use all enchantments, and then to crafting pieces of Eldrich King armor.
Galleon ended the stream after more than seven hours, saying he felt nauseous and had been neglecting his sleep. He said there would be no stream the following day.
