Yugiri Ray Reveals a Love of Dinosaurs During a Drinking Stream
The MillionProduction talent also settled on a vlog tour of local sake and announced a guest stream for the next evening.
MILLIONPRODUCTION — Yugiri Ray, a MillionProduction talent, used a late-night *nomi-zatsu*, or drinking-and-chatting stream, on Thursday to say for the first time that they love dinosaurs. Ray said they have long wanted to visit a dinosaur museum in Fukui Prefecture, but no one around them will go along.
The interest began with the dinosaur game ARK, which Ray has played since high school, and with the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films. Ray said they want to join elementary and middle school students in a fossil-digging program and to attend the museum’s night event, and named Spinosaurus and Baryonyx among their favorites. Ray called the confession a first and said they hope to film a vlog in Fukui someday, drink in hand. Viewers answered with their own recommendations for the area and for dinosaur films, and Ray said they were glad to find others who shared the interest.
“I want to go to the dinosaur museum, and I really want to dig for fossils mixed in with the elementary and middle school kids.” — Yugiri Ray, on the museum trip nobody will join
The stream had opened with picture trouble that Ray traced to YouTube itself, then settled in. Ray had gone about a week and a half without alcohol and started with a limited-edition lemonade sour and a plate of prosciutto. Ray joked about being the captain of an “oden rescue squad” that buys up convenience-store oden before it is thrown out, admitted giving in to a McDonald’s craving after telling colleagues they were dieting, and recommended a novel-based romance film and a Netflix drama. Ray also said they wanted to become a fan of something and floated idol groups as candidates. At one point Ray stopped everything to announce that the back of their cat looked exactly like Totoro.
Sake came up as well. Ray said it had become a favorite and that they wanted to make a vlog traveling to local breweries, then messaged their manager during the stream. The manager replied that the equipment was available, and Ray declared the project decided. Near the end Ray said the next evening at 7 p.m. would bring a roughly two-hour stream with a guest, and that a morning tweet would ask viewers for help.
Ray put their own drunkenness at about six or seven out of ten, asked viewers what merchandise they would want, and said they would look favorably on an eye mask. Chat sent 25 Super Chats over the evening. Ray signed off after 3:30 into the stream, saying they would fall asleep to Jurassic World.
