Hakui Koyori Tames Three Luminas in ARK After Restarting a Lagging Stream
She also landed a level-135 Drakeling, but a Wyvern hunt on the Lumina’s back ended with the Wyvern winning.
HOLOLIVE — Hakui Koyori tamed three Luminas on the Hololive ARK server on Thursday, learning a difficult taming minigame along the way and carrying on through a seven-hour broadcast that she restarted partway through when chat lag made the first stream unusable.
The first stretch began with a long wait. A game update was still downloading when the stream opened, so she filled the time with talk: a heavy week before her solo live, voice training that day, and a large batch of autographs she had signed for the limited edition of her album. She also checked whether the server’s Halloween event was running. It was not, she said, and she went on to gather gear and ride the server’s new train before heading out to tame.
“Every Lumina in this world belongs to Koyori.” — Hakui Koyori, after taming a level-90 Lumina
The Lumina taming did not come easily. On her first try, about two and a half hours in, a button-sequence minigame defeated her. Chat urged her to memorize the order, and she said she had no idea what to press. On her next attempt, at roughly 3:13, she got through it and tamed a level-50 Lumina, which she named Asuna. Soon afterward, with chat lagging far behind the stream, she ended the broadcast and started a new one.
In the second stream she hunted for stronger Luminas and came across a level-135 Drakeling near her base, which she managed to tame. She later added a level-90 Lumina by beating the minigame again. She then took a Lumina out to try for a Wyvern, but the Wyvern was too strong and she turned back, saying she wanted to beat one eventually. She finished the night by putting Allosaurus brains into storage for a senior on the server who is collecting them.
She closed by thanking viewers who had stayed through both streams and by reading out several of the 38 Super Chats, including an English one asking her to visit Finland. She said she would go if work took her there. She told viewers she had an early morning and dance lessons ahead, and signed off for the night.
