YuFang Recounts an Offer to Meet a 30-Year-Old Son, Then Asks Chat Not to Rank Singers

The Cloud Horizon streamer closed a Sunday singing-and-chat stream by asking viewers to enjoy the singing without comparing it to others.

YuFang, a Cloud Horizon streamer, told viewers on Sunday about a recent conversation with an older woman who turned out to have a 30-year-old son. YuFang said the woman looked nothing like a mother of a grown son, and she invited YuFang to contact her for a meal if they were ever in her area. Then she said she wanted to introduce her son. “I went quiet,” YuFang said.

YuFang said the woman also praised illustration as a soothing hobby, which YuFang took as a second attempt to steer the talk toward the introduction. Chat called it a “matchmaking attack.” YuFang said they had treated the woman as a peer and teased her freely, and hoped she would come away seeing a cheeky youngster rather than a possible daughter-in-law. The two are due to meet again the following week.

“If you like my singing, I’m grateful. Just enjoy it, but please don’t put it in terms of comparison.” — YuFang, answering a chat comment about other singers

Earlier, in this *zatsudan*, or chat stream, YuFang showed a flower-arranging photo posted to Instagram. Friends had urged making it into a *zhangbei tu*, the cheerful greeting images popular with older relatives, and one suggested letting ChatGPT do it. YuFang refused, saying such images had to be made by hand, and chose an animated Instagram effect, though its font was a letdown. Chat said the result suited a good-morning picture. Later, a chat tangent on the place-name ending “-stan” led YuFang to joke that the shop could be called “Shuaigou-stan,” a gathering place for bugs. Talk of the series WandaVision followed, with YuFang recalling a cousin who was watching it and being told not to spoil it.

After a closing song, 大海 (The Sea), chat called the choice sad, and YuFang offered to sing something cheerful. When a viewer said they had spent a week without finding a virtual streamer who sang as well as YuFang, YuFang asked chat not to measure singers against each other, saying it could hurt everyone involved. Chat joked about spending 1,000 yuan on a McDonald’s dinner.

YuFang signed off after a monitor froze and could not be closed, which left the Live2D model unusable. Thanking viewers for singing and chatting along, YuFang planned to restart the computer, then sent the audience to another streamer’s small singing stream, asking them to be polite there.
