Suwako Nao Climbs to Seventh Place in Slither.io, Then Calls It a Night
She hid the in-game map so viewers could not hunt her, and finished a 2 hour 20 minute stream among the server’s top seven snakes.
INDEPENDENT — Suwako Nao, who streams as Sứa Có Não, ended a Tuesday-night stream of the online snake game Slither.io in seventh place on the server’s leaderboard, then stopped playing. “Top 1 is still far off,” she told viewers.
She said she was playing it for the first time, even though the game was popular years ago. Her stated goal for the night was to look as plump as possible. She spent the opening hours eating pellets, getting wrapped up and eaten by larger snakes, and starting over. Along the way she explained what she had picked up: whichever snake’s head hits another first is the one that dies, so the aim is to circle a rival until it runs into her body, and holding the right mouse button speeds a snake up but shortens it.
“First place is still far off. All right, let’s stop. Seventh is good enough for today.” — Suwako Nao, after reaching seventh place
To keep viewers from hunting her down, she covered the on-screen map. She still gave out her server number, 4924, for anyone who wanted to join her team, and noted that another player using a copy of her name had reached second place on the server. She joked about the chat’s efforts to find her and about a mouse that lagged when she turned.
In the final stretch she climbed into the top 10, lost the spot, won it back, rose to ninth and then to seventh. She stopped there, thanked viewers for staying with her and said she had work to do to make content for coming streams.
Between rounds she spoke about the song requests she owes viewers and said a stream to pay them off was planned for the weekend. She also said she would be on TikTok Live on Thursday.
