Konueno Sane Reaches the End of Her Cat-and-Robot Story Game, Then Turns to Travel and The Sims

AKUTAGAWA — Konueno Sane reached the end of the story game in her cat series on Tuesday night, episode 3 of the run, and said the ending still made her cry. She greeted viewers by name as they arrived, then played with her dinner in front of her, saying she would eat as she went.

In the final scenes, the small robot that had travelled with the cat lost its body but stayed on in the city’s main system, and the cat left without looking back. Sane said the robot was not dead, only unable to go on with the cat, and that she had seen the scene many times and cried each time. She noted the plot had no branches, grumbled about the insects she had to look at on the way, and joked that her noodles had gone cold during the scene.

Later in the evening, the talk turned to domestic travel. Sane asked where viewers would go in Taiwan, and said she was drawn to Hualien and Taitung and to Matsu. She recalled visiting a small island in the Matsu group covered in sika deer, where ferries were few and lodging was scarce. Near the end she said she had once been deeply into The Sims, spending time browsing custom content the way others browse for clothes, and asked whether viewers would like to watch her play it. Her expansion packs sit on a different account, she said, so she would have to work out how to set that up.

She closed the stream well past its planned length, telling viewers to get to sleep and saying goodnight.
