Shishigami Leona Coaches Ohara’s Team to Second Place on Day 1 of Dozle Corp Hunt

REACT — Shishigami Leona appeared as a coach for Ohara’s team on Thursday in the first day of Dozle Corp’s Hunting Festival (ドズル社狩猟祭), a Monster Hunter Outlanders (モンスターハンターアウトランダーズ) event streamed from her channel. Ohara’s team finished second among four teams in the Day 1 time attack, taking down Rathian in 53 seconds and Rathalos in under two minutes.

Sixteen players took part, in four teams. Each team had a Dozle Corp member as leader, a Monster Hunter coach who streams, and two guests. Teams are ranked on their combined Day 1 and Day 2 times against two designated monsters, with Rathian and Rathalos set for Day 1.

“The long sword is the steadiest for me, and I’ve been using it a lot lately, so I think it’s fine.” — Shishigami Leona, closing out the stream

Before the time attack, the players split up across the game’s open-world island to clear six missions that included butterfly catching, an egg hunt and fishing, which Leona’s team finished in about 15 minutes. They then hunted for materials and built matching armor with lightning-damage skills, along with new weapons, and practiced the shared co-op move that all four players must land on the same spot. With about a minute of preparation left, the team noticed a stronger weapon it could make, and a teammate said it raised damage by roughly half. Teammates praised Leona for spotting trouble quickly, and she described herself as a support type who left the damage to the other three. During the wait before the run, the team talked about microphones and throat care.

Ohara’s team went second. The hosts called its co-op moves the team’s strength, and chat cheered the Rathian kill. Team Only took first place. Team Bonjour was third at 3 minutes 6.82 seconds and Team Dozle fourth at 4 minutes 42.73 seconds.

At the end of the stream, Leona said she had considered the charge blade but had never touched its Outlanders version, and that the long sword felt steadiest. She added that she had been so nervous that her perfect dodges came out at extreme speed, and that she hoped to do a little better. Day 2 begins Friday at 6:15 p.m.
