Shiina Yuika’s Overwatch Team 03 Holds First Meeting Under a Title-or-Nothing Goal
The overnight session ran about seven hours, from a map walk-through to repeated drills on one King’s Row objective, and ended with a scrimmage in view.
NIJISANJI — Nijisanji’s Shiina Yuika met the Overwatch teammates for the first time as Team 03 in an overnight stream that ran about seven hours. The team is part of the group’s EX Overwatch event, tagged #にじEX_OW, and its coach opened the session by setting the bar at a title: “We don’t want anything other than a championship.”
Inami Rai, Kanae, Tsukahara Daichi and Reina were also on the stream. After a few minutes of small talk about stream layouts and openings, the group compared Overwatch experience and ranks, which among those who shared them ran from Gold to Platinum. One participant said they had played since the original Overwatch, back when a certain hero was a support.
“We don’t want anything other than a championship.” — The team’s coach, opening the session
The coach then laid out the plan: learn the maps, decide on a hero composition and practice calling targets and ultimates aloud as they would in a real match. The team toured the maps first, then settled on a dive composition built around the hero Vendetta, with Winston or Zarya in front, and rehearsed positioning, when to retreat and when to commit. Shiina was asked to choose between Kiriko and Moira in the support role.
Chat followed the progress closely. Viewers cheered the coach’s drive early on and later remarked that the team’s voice coordination kept improving. In the last hour the group reviewed a match against an opposing lineup and said their command of the composition had risen markedly, including repeated work on the first objective of King’s Row. A scrimmage, or practice match, was discussed for later that day.
