Shirakami Fubuki Previews New Card Game Art, Including an “If Polka,” on Radio Show

HOLOLIVE — Shirakami Fubuki used the 11th episode of “Kitsune-zoku Mitsukai,” her radio-style show with Omaru Polka, to preview the Hololive Official Card Game booster pack Fubu Kingdom Delight Stars on Tuesday, ahead of the game’s own announcements. She showed three pieces of news: two more characters from her Fubu Kingdom story, new art of herself, and a new look for Polka.

Nyla and Kuro were revealed as characters joining Fubuki’s side of the set. Fubuki then showed a newly drawn illustration of herself, saying her new deck was sure to be a strong one. Polka appears as an “if” version of herself inside the Fubu Kingdom setting: a member of a world-touring circus troupe, tipped as a future ringmaster, who sympathized with Fubuki when she spoke of her ideal kingdom. Fubuki said the profile built on the character Polka played in her birthday stream, “Fubu Kingdom Prologue,” and hinted that other Hololive members could follow.

“Now that we’ve made this, we want to put some pressure on management.” — Shirakami Fubuki and Omaru Polka, on their new promotional art

The show itself has also become a card. Fubuki and Polka said the Kitsune-zoku Mitsukai card lets a player draw two cards, look at the top five of the deck and add one mascot and one fan to their hand, which they called a handy effect for packing a deck.

Near the close, the pair showed full-body promotional art of the two of them in their show outfits, with a red-and-blue jacket lining and simple heels, and a super-deformed version in loose jerseys. They said that having an outfit set would make merchandise easier and joked about pressing management to follow through. Earlier, they read listener letters about memorable anime and gave a video tour of the Hololive Grand Reception exhibition in Tokyo, which they filmed before it opened. Its first half runs through Oct. 28 and the second half begins Oct. 31.

In chat, viewers reacted to the reveals as they came, including the news that Fubuki would appear in the set.
