Mina Aoyama Calls Honkai: Star Rail 4.7 Patch ‘So Freaking Good’ After Watch Party

INDEPENDENT — Mina Aoyama watched the Honkai: Star Rail version 4.7 special program live on her YouTube channel and came away calling the coming patch “so freaking good.” The program centered on Aha, the Elation Eon, who becomes a playable character in the update.

Aoyama said she had slept about three hours after working late on a merchandise spreadsheet, and that she woke at 6:15 a.m. to be ready for the broadcast. Before the program began she filled the time with chat about the game’s recent quiet stretch, fandom behavior on social media, and her plans for pulls on Robin and Kafka.

“This patch is going to be so freaking good.” — Mina Aoyama, after the special program

The program itself featured Aha explaining the long rivalry between Elation and the Veracity, then walking through the new character’s combat design: a team-wide passive tied to Elation characters, a wish-power meter, and a skill that converts part of its damage to true damage. Aoyama reacted to the reveals as they came, praising Aha’s Eon design over the original look and the trailer for a new lotto-themed outfit. She said she had not expected outfits to get trailers now.

The closing segment listed the version’s rewards, including a free limited five-star character, a free Idolon, 20 Star Rail Special Passes and an item for customizing a max-level relic. Aoyama called it “a lot of stuff for not an anniversary.” The program also covered the version’s banners, a dessert-shop story event and a combat event called the Inter Astral Peace Gala.

Aoyama said she did not intend to take Aha to the sixth eidolon, saying she already has too many of them and needs to save for Robin and for Zenless Zone Zero. She signed off by saying she would be back the next day on Twitch for a Halloween stream building a haunted house.
