Hakase Fuyuki’s One Piece Restaurant Tops 100 Customers in a Four-Hour Expansion Push
The fourth stream of the One Piece Grand Gourmet series added a live venue, a music corner and a fountain while funds ran short.
NIJISANJI — Hakase Fuyuki spent a four-hour stream enlarging the shop in One Piece Grand Gourmet, a restaurant-management game built around the One Piece cast, and the restaurant’s customer count passed 100 along the way. It was the fourth stream of the series, titled as a plan to expand the shop on a grand scale.
The Nijisanji streamer opened short on money. Hakase said the expansion was waiting on funds, then spent much of the evening juggling what to buy, handing gifts to characters to win them over as fans of the shop, and sending crew members on outings, including to Impel Down, for spices. Giant-sized tables, a rest area, a social room and a live venue were added in turn, and the shop grew cramped enough that the streamer had to put a terrace outside. When a music corner was finished, Hakase called it a good place to ride the rhythm; a fountain that turned out to be an indoor fixture drew a laugh. Near the two-hour mark the books slid into the red, and the streamer rushed to hand out presents to bring money in.
“With a streamer’s grit, I’ll talk to a degree that’s almost unreal.” — Hakase Fuyuki, as a device overheated mid-stream
An hour in, a device Hakase was using began to overheat even while charging. The streamer wondered aloud whether turning on the heating was to blame, and said that if it gave out, they would talk with full energy, enough that viewers could picture a facial expression. Chat urged them to show some streamer spirit.
The story side moved along too. Marco arrived at the shop, to chat’s delight, and the game shifted to its post-timeskip era, with characters in their later designs and Jinbe turning up. Later a rival crew challenged the restaurant to a cooking contest, which ended with the rivals fleeing and the neighborhood’s reputation restored. The ship then reached Fish-Man Island, where a mermaid princess came to eat, and Whitebeard later visited the shop and was won over. Along the way Hakase mentioned a starter deck built around the streamer’s own face, calling it a rare experience.
In the closing stretch Hakase tidied the crowded layout and entered the shop’s Yagara Bull in a race, finishing second. The streamer saved the game, said a collab stream was coming up, and signed off.
