Suiboshi Asuto Hosts a Chat Stream From a Toilet Backdrop, Then Turns to Sushi and Voice Actors
The Uniraid! streamer, who said a spicy dish had upset his stomach, kept the set after the thumbnail joke boxed him in.
UNIRAID! — Suiboshi Asuto of Uniraid! (20ZWEI) opened a *zatsudan*, or chat stream, on Friday night against a toilet backdrop, with a title saying he would end the broadcast if he needed the bathroom. He told viewers the setting was a joke that began with the thumbnail and a stomach that had been loose all day.
He said he had probably eaten something too spicy, and described a Sichuan cold dish that chat identified as *kouisuiji*, known in Japan as *yodare-dori*. He added that he handles spicy food well by mouth but not in the stomach. Later he said he may also have overeaten at lunch, after making carbonara with cream on his third try, following two failed attempts without it. By the middle of the stream he said his stomach had settled.
“If I change it now, it’ll look like thumbnail fraud.” — Suiboshi Asuto, on whether to swap the backdrop
Early on he played a flushing sound effect by hand, saying he had downloaded it before going live, and raised the volume after some viewers could not hear it. He dropped the gag after a while but kept the backdrop, saying changing it would make the thumbnail a fraud. Talk ranged from Halloween plans and cold weather to parks’ public restrooms, festival-stall prices and a river in Tokyo popular for fan re-creations of scenes from videos.
On the subject of places where he feels calm, he recalled hiding in the bathroom as a child and staging battles between his hands, the right as the villain and the left as the hero, until a family member walked in on him and he began locking the door. Chat said they had done the same.
The talk then moved to conveyor-belt sushi, where he said he would eat sushi every day of the year, and to a chain’s order announcements voiced by a voice actor, which chat said it recognized. He said he was sleepy as the night wore on, and he ended the stream at 11 p.m., saying he might sing the next day. Partway through, he had thanked viewers who worried about his stomach and said the title had made them fret.
