Six talents from Mixstgirls took turns on stage Monday evening in a Halloween *utawaku*, or singing-stream, relay under the hashtag #ミクストハロウィン歌枠リレー, passing the baton roughly every half hour. Kosuzu Lian led off, dressed as a devil, in what Lian called a first turn as the relay’s leadoff performer.

Lian sang five songs: “Trick or Treat,” “King,” a seasonal number the captions do not name, “Shadow Shadow” and, to close, “Akuma no Odorikata” (roughly, “How a Devil Dances”). Between songs Lian read out the running order, Yukishiro Qalu, Hoshino Rimu, Narumi Myao, Kotomiya Iori and Nagisawa Shichi, followed by an official finale, and explained that each turn would reveal a keyword. Viewers were to combine the numbers by arithmetic to unlock a bonus. After “Shadow Shadow,” Lian told viewers the hashtag had reached the trends list.

“If you don’t give me candy, I’ll play a prank and zero out your bank balance.” — Narumi Myao, opening the fourth turn

Yukishiro Qalu took over as the second performer, saying Qalu was nervous, and asked chat for messages in place of candy. “Instead of candy, I’d be happy if you sent lots of chat messages,” Qalu said. The set included “Sweets Parade,” two songs back to back and a Halloween closer, and Qalu thanked Lian for passing the baton before introducing Rimu’s 8 p.m. turn.

Hoshino Rimu opened with a Sailor Moon-style introduction and leaned on anime songs. Two magic-themed numbers followed back to back, including one from a witch anime Rimu watched as a small child. “Bad Apple!!” came next, sung in a cooler register, and Rimu closed in sunglasses with a song from a scary anime that Rimu said had long been on the wish list. Rimu then introduced Myao as the next performer.

Narumi Myao, the self-described strongest gal of Mixstgirls, returned to streaming after some time away and opened with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s “Crazy Party Night.” Myao followed with “Sweet Magic” after a call-and-response riff on sweets, and named a rice cracker called *kataage* as the Halloween treat Myao most wanted. Myao then sang “Iris Out” for the first time, as chat noted, and closed with AKB48’s “Halloween Night” before signing off with “Good Halloween night.”

Kotomiya Iori arrived as a vampire, greeting viewers in an ojou-sama, or young-lady, manner. Iori opened with “Mousou Express,” read out chat requests for pranks over candy, and sang a song about mischief before pairing “Bakemono no Hana” with “Stardust.” After announcing a keyword, Iori closed with a farewell song and asked viewers to remember the relay, saying a closing ceremony would follow Nagisawa Shichi’s turn. Chat’s heart emoji changed color with each turn: blue for Lian, white for Qalu, pink for Rimu, yellow for Myao and purple for Iori. Nagisawa Shichi took the sixth and last turn.
