Hakushika Iori Hosts a Haunted-House Roleplay With a Skeleton Husband for Phase-O-Ween

The stream began late after YouTube repeatedly asked her to verify her account, then ran about two and a half hours.

Hakushika Iori of Phase Connect opened a Halloween-season stream with a horror roleplay in which a traveler, played by the audience, wanders into her haunted house. The stream, titled “Phase-O-Ween,” ran 165 minutes.

Playing the lone resident of a remote house, Iori greeted the “guest” with a cup of coffee and a story: after her husband died she tracked down the house where he was born, and a skeleton that moved exactly like him came to meet her. The skeleton, wrapped around her on screen, was her husband, she said. She told of fires that burned the house to the ground and left it standing again, and of an earlier visitor who crashed a car into it. “Hopefully, I don’t know if I can keep burning,” she said of the fires, adding that they happen only when she leaves his side.

“All the other ones that claim to be Forever 20 are fake. I’m the only real one.” — Hakushika Iori, on staying 20 forever

The tone turned when the coffee “kicked in.” Iori’s character explained that her husband lives off other people’s souls, that no guest had survived leaving, and that the traveler would be the fifth. She said she kept him in that state so he would keep feeling guilty over what he had done to her, a reference to the scars she had shown earlier. The soul she held in her hand, she added, blinked whenever she blinked slowly.

Out of character, she apologized for the late start, saying YouTube had doubted her account was hers and sent her through repeated verification for about a week. She then spent the rest of the stream chatting with viewers. She said she had meant to buy a cosplay for Halloween but the costume website she planned to use went offline, so there would be no dress-up this year, and that even then she would not have shown a photo. She also showed off the model, which she noted is a pre-made design sold online, pointing out the feet, hands and the ghost in her hand. Other topics included how to compliment a friend’s new partner, her mother’s questions about relationships, how she uses AI, and a wasp that got trapped between her window and screen door. A raid arrived from Lumi during the talk, and she read Super Chats and membership gifts near the end.

Iori closed by saying she would stream again at the usual time of 5 p.m. PDT the next day, if YouTube allowed it, and wished viewers a happy early Halloween.
