Kaela Kovalskia Clears a Dogpile Run Minutes Before Signing Off
After a failed first run, a win in the second hour and a restart in the fourth, the hololive streamer finished on a victory.
HOLOLIVE — Kaela Kovalskia won a run of the dog-merging roguelike Dogpile near the end of a four-hour solo stream on Thursday, then thanked viewers and signed off to get to a meeting.
She opened the stream by welcoming back viewers after what she called a long gap between solo broadcasts, and explained that Dogpile is a card game in which dogs are dropped into a yard, merge and pile up. Her first run fell short of its bone target about half an hour in, and she called it over several times before it ended. She said afterward that it had been her first attempt and that she now understood how the game worked.
“Don’t worry guys, this is a very chill game. Trust me. Even though sometimes things happen.” — Kaela Kovalskia, as the run got out of hand
The game’s quirks became the running theme. She leaned into a zero-gravity trait that sent dogs floating around the yard, asking the game for “more problems,” and praised the “bouncy” dogs and the voice acting. She said the game was made by two Australian friends and called herself proud of the Aussie developers. A run in the second hour ended in a win, which she called surprisingly quick and compared to a tutorial stage. She then moved on to a harder setup in which every dog starts with a negative trait, and restarted it after about three hours and eleven minutes when the run was beyond saving.
Raiders arrived from Irys’s stream late in the evening, and Kaela greeted them by saying the game was “so chill.” It was not, and chat said so. She kept telling viewers she would stop after the current run, then won it, said “GG,” and talked about trying the game’s endless mode before closing out.
Chat filled with laughter and well-wishes throughout, and the stream drew 22 Super Chats. Before leaving, Kaela said she had a schedule posted for the week and that the time of her next stream, either afternoon or night, would be updated later.
