Lucien Lunaris of FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION EN set a goal of 2,000 voice packs sold: if his birthday voice pack and his upcoming butler voice pack together reach that number, he will record a yandere butler role-play pack for his channel. A yandere is a character whose devotion turns obsessive. He called the target the craziest goal he could think of and said he did not expect it to be met, but that his fans might surprise him.

He said the new pack would be separate from the butler pack and meant for his “menchi” content, a clingy, obsessive style of role-play. He had not written a script, but said he might ask for help from someone who writes good ones, aim for about five minutes and perhaps change the way he addresses the listener to “master.” He also said he would hold a dedicated stream for voice pack readings about a week after the butler pack comes out.

“I’m not like the other vampires.” — Lucien Lunaris, on how fans picture him

The stream, titled “IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!! AGAIN???”, stood in for a Moonlight Chats session he had cancelled earlier in the week to sort out a rent payment. Joking that it was his “unbirthday,” he spent about an hour working through posts under the birthday tag: fan art, photo cards and stickers from the Moonlight Echoes project, Pokemon-style Lunar cards, handmade gifts, messages from fan meetups in Malaysia and a video of fans dancing. He said he was disappointed that no Lunarist ad appeared at a Japanese train station this year, the one year he lives in Japan.

From there he turned to reviews of his birthday voice pack, which he said he had made as a single long track plus a bonus track because it suited the pacing better. He read listeners’ reactions, many praising how natural and teasing the performance sounded, and said he treats the bonus track as a yearly journal entry. He did not get through them all and said he would read the rest off stream.

He closed by saying he hoped to get permission to stream a game next week and that more game streams were planned for the coming days.
