Hyakuto Kyoko and Kaela Kovalskia Spend Four Hours on Three PEAK Climbs and Plan to Return

The pair cooked food for energy, traded climbing tricks and used a rescue claw and anti-gravity shots before the third run ended short of a clear.

Hololive’s Hyakuto Kyoko and Kaela Kovalskia played the co-op climbing game PEAK together on Tuesday for more than four hours, making three attempts on its mountain without clearing it. Kyoko streamed the collab in English from her own channel, and the two said before parting that they would play again.

The session opened with a bit. After an audio check, Kyoko, who said she usually skips the self-introduction and goes straight to the game, gave one anyway and presented herself as the “hero cop.” Kaela then reported that she had been kidnapped almost two years earlier and was being held in a basement, and Kyoko promised to rescue her with a jetpack. Chat urged Kyoko on, and cheered again when the pair found a jetpack on the first climb. Tried out, it lifted its wearer only a short way.

“It was the first time I talked with her, but I could really be myself.” — Hyakuto Kyoko, on playing with Kaela Kovalskia afterward

On the mountain the two cooked their food for extra energy, grabbed each other across gaps and swapped techniques. One showed the other a jump made by spamming the click while looking slightly down, and later a backflip jump that starts with a wave emote. Kyoko said afterward that she had learned from Kaela that coconuts crack when thrown on the ground, rather than dropped from the top of a tree.

The first attempt ended just under two hours in, when both ran out of food and stamina on a snowy stretch; a checkpoint flag brought them back, and they counted it as halfway. A second, faster run ended in the cold about 2 hours 44 minutes into the stream. Around then one of them said she would have to leave eventually but wanted to keep playing, and they agreed to a last run. That third attempt, which used a rescue claw, anti-gravity shots and mushroom platforms, lasted until about 4 hours 17 minutes, when one of them died on a late climb. Both said they wanted to finish the stage someday.

Kaela signed off, and Kyoko stayed on to read Super Chats. She said that playing with Kaela felt like having a cool older sister, that she would come to rescue Kaela from the basement, and that the two would look for a duo name. Kyoko closed by saying she would play Jump King the next day to practice for a Jump King race.
