Collabs, Cover Collab

Airi Viridis and Co-Stars Tag a Digital Wall to Pick ‘Little Miss Cool’ Before New Cover

The group said the song cover they began work on in April was due out right after the stream.

Airi Viridis and her fellow participants spent most of a collab stream on her channel drawing graffiti on a shared digital canvas, a contest to settle who is “little miss cool” ahead of a new group song cover. They described it as their first group cover in a long while, and said it was due out shortly after the stream.

The drawing did not go smoothly. One participant said a tablet was running at about one frame per second once several people were drawing at once, another kept losing a brush, and a third struggled to keep the lines of a letter straight. Early on the group stopped to work out what a graffiti name tag is, settling on something like a gamer tag, and later one participant asked the others how to draw a cool S. A wobbly “WTF” on the canvas became “what the funny?”, a phrase that spread through the group and chat. Between strokes the talk wandered to American movies such as Rocky and Catch Me If You Can, and to Pomeranians, which one participant said are very popular in Japan.

“No. Bad job. Because we’re bad girls.” — Airi Viridis, Hani, Spica and Mozzu, when the drawing time ran out

When time was called, the group answered “Good job, everyone” with a mock scolding and played the part of residents threatening to phone the town council over the vandalized wall. A round robin followed, opening with “bad girl” confessions before turning to the cover itself. One participant said it features plenty of harmonies and backing vocals and urged viewers to listen for them. Another revealed that work on the song began in April, which surprised the others, who had guessed much earlier in the year.

Hani said her first original song would follow the next day, written by a prominent artist whose name is being kept secret for now. After the cover goes up, the stream will redirect to one of her streams. The group asked viewers to comment on, like, share and subscribe to the cover once it is released.

Chat joined in on the joke throughout, trading puns about the wall.
