Raden, Matsuri and Su Launch a Sanrio Game Club and Get All Three Quiz Answers Right
The three Hololive talents earned the club’s approval by playing Sanrio Party Land together on Switch.
HOLOLIVE — Hololive talents Juufuutei Raden of ReGLOSS, Natsuiro Matsuri and Mizumiya Su of FLOW GLOW opened a Sanrio game club on a Saturday evening stream and won its approval by answering all three questions of a quiz about the game they played, Sanrio Party Land (サンリオパーティーランド).
The stream began around 7 p.m. on Nov. 7. After introducing themselves by their favorite Sanrio characters, with Raden choosing Pompompurin and Su choosing Tuxedo Sam, each talent showed a handwritten club entry form. Raden’s stated reason for joining was a long string of “pom” syllables; she said she had also submitted a serious version, but this one was the one chosen. Su wrote that she wanted to visit Sanrio’s head office to learn more about the characters.
“It’s all good. Everything about it is good.” — Juufuutei Raden, closing the stream
A letter read on stream said the club would be recognized if the three cooperated to clear Sanrio Party Land, a party game released Oct. 29 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 that supports up to four players and features more than 145 Sanrio characters. The talents wore outfits themed on characters from the game, and each took a role: Matsuri hunted for photo spots, Raden served as navigator and Su collected stickers. Each also received a different quiz question to be answered from what they found in the game, without sharing it with the others.
Over about 90 minutes they took photos at Daniel’s photo studio, using the drone camera for group shots. They played mini-games with partner characters, Raden with Pompompurin and Matsuri with Cinnamoroll, and a board game called Flower Festival. In the clay-shaping game they scored 64 percent on a first try, then reached gold, and later platinum after more practice. A present-collecting game also earned platinum, which drew cheers about Sam in chat.
At the end they answered the three quiz questions together on a count. The apple peeled in a Hello Kitty mini-game became an apple pie, and Daniel was the photo studio’s receptionist. They got all three right, and chat sent congratulations. A second letter then confirmed the club and asked each member to present an activity goal and an idea for recruiting members. Their ideas included trying the mini-games they skipped, playing other Sanrio games, inviting a fourth player and a visit to the company. Raden closed by saying everything about the game was good and that she hoped to keep doing club activities, and the three asked viewers to post impressions under the stream’s club hashtag.
