Juufuutei Raden Plays hololive Dreams for the First Time, in Her Own Costume

HOLOLIVE — Juufuutei Raden of Hololive’s ReGLOSS made her first story playthrough of the hololive Dreams game on Tuesday, opening the stream in the game’s dedicated costume for her. She said she had only tried its minigames before, on friends’ phones, and went in knowing nothing of the story.

The opening introduced a character version of Raden, which she joked sounded just like her, and took the player to the game’s island, where she spent a long stretch exploring the castle and live stage. She talked through the architecture, explaining how pointed arches and bundled pillars make a building look taller, and tried out the character’s jumps on the way.

“You’re entertaining me. A rhythm game, no less. Not bad at all.” — Juufuutei Raden, after clearing a song

The first rhythm-game song went badly at first, with Raden missing keys on the keyboard controls and joking that she was playing as if looking after her grandmother. She cleared it on the next try. Near the end of the evening she cleared another song after adjusting the settings, saying the game had entertained her more than she expected.

Chat filled with applause stamps at each clear. Viewers also coached her through the gacha screen, and when a ticket pull glowed rainbow, a viewer told her what it meant: a top-rarity card was guaranteed.

Raden said she planned to keep catching up with the game and floated the idea of a viewer-participation stream. She added that a card of her new Halloween costume, a vampire outfit, was due to be added to the game.
