Vestia Zeta, Kobo and Moona Play Together, Then Zeta Sketches Uno Mobile’s Pet Dog
Moona Hoshinova and Kobo Kanaeru signed off about 80 minutes in, and Zeta stayed on for nearly 50 more minutes to explain the card game’s new virtual pets.
HOLOLIVE — Vestia Zeta, Kobo Kanaeru and Moona Hoshinova played a Hololive Dreams session together on Saturday night, each streaming it on her own channel under the #holodori tag. Moona and Kobo signed off about 80 minutes in. Zeta carried on alone for nearly 50 more minutes, most of it spent on a new pet feature in Uno Mobile.
The session opened with technical slips: one participant muted the others by accident and then found she had not yet gone live on YouTube, and a round of volume checks followed. The first game split the players into police and thieves, with the police guarding laser-protected areas. One participant recalled standing in a laser zone for two minutes, convinced the game was bugged, before realizing the lasers had stayed off because she was playing police. After a hard map crowded with other players, the group called for a map change, and afterward they traded jokes over who had caught whom more often. One participant said she hoped the game’s next update would add a new item, something like a potion that left opponents dizzy.
“Why the heck do I have to take care of a dog when I just want to play Uno?” — Vestia Zeta, on Uno Mobile’s new virtual pets
Around the 37-minute mark they moved to a push-your-luck round in which they had to decide whether to grab what was on offer or wait for more. They joked about sharing a wallet and told chat, “We’re not greedy.” From about 50 minutes in, one participant proposed a rhythm game and moved to a tablet. Players tried songs on the Expert difficulty, and one participant cleared a song with a single point of health left. A final run on a random event song ended in failure.
Chat was busiest at the 1:06 mark, during teasing about a three-year-old tweet and a promise attached to it. Moona closed her own stream by thanking viewers, reading Super Chats and saying she would stream again the next day, at night. Kobo, reading Super Chats on her channel, said she expected the next day’s daily holodori stream to be the last, with a horror game to follow.
Zeta then told chat that Uno Mobile had a new update that let players raise a virtual dog. She said it came in three breeds, including a golden retriever and a husky, and could be fed and dressed, with the pet growing as the player won matches. When she could not show it on stream, she drew it on her screen, lost the first sketch and drew it again: a dog in an accessory hat, with a Plus Four Wild card dangled in front of it, sunglasses shaped like skip buttons, a rainbow Wild-card collar and an outfit of pants or a polka-dot skirt. Viewers sent Super Chats to fund the dog, and she took a vote on a color, settling on blue when chat answered “blue.” She went on to walk through the game’s themed cards, which take about 200 collected cards to unlock, the ad-watching option she said she once sat through 20 times, its recipes, puzzles and high-stakes modes.
Before closing, Zeta said the next day would be her last in the daily series, though she said it need not be the last ever, because she wanted to play another game. She also announced a watch-along for the 25th at 6:45 p.m. JST, which she said Kobo would join. She tried YouTube’s auto-translate on a video’s Indonesian subtitles and called the result “pretty good.”
