The Aegis-Link talent spent the rest of the 136-minute broadcast reading birthday messages and showing fan art from the Nightfalls community.

Kumisa Umare opened her first birthday stream by offering viewers cake, then told them she had eaten all of it. The Aegis-Link talent, a member of the company’s 2nd Generation COALESCE, spent the opening minutes asking chat for a knife and promising “equal pieces for everyone,” and then announced, “I ate all the cake.” She reminded viewers that she is “the horse of lies.”

She later turned up a second cake, a picture of a carrot cake for horses, and joked about it with chat, citing the saying about not looking a gift horse in the mouth. In between, she sampled a Dubai chocolate bar with cotton candy inside that her mother had brought back from a trip, and described it as very thick and very sweet.

About half an hour in, she opened a board of birthday messages and art prepared by her community, the Nightfalls, and read them aloud. Fellow Aegis-Link members, moderators, members and viewers had contributed. She singled out the message from a senior colleague, saying she had applied to the company largely because of her. She also described applying in January, being invited to audition within days, and getting in on her first try.

After the messages she showed fan art sent to Discord and in chat, said she planned to save every piece, and talked about conventions she had attended, Silent Hill 2, Resident Evil and going to the movies. Five Super Chats came in, and chat greeted the cake reveal with cries of “THE BETRAYAL!”

Kumisa said she had planned little for her first birthday and called the stream “a demo version” of next year’s. She said she would stream karaoke on Twitch on Saturday, and signed off after sending viewers to another talent’s stream.
