Gigi Murin Reaches the Royal Tournament in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
She closed a nearly six-hour stream on a cliffhanger, with the game at 51 hours and about 15 to go.
HOLOLIVE — Gigi Murin played through the stretch of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter that carries Estelle and Joshua from the end of a chapter to the royal capital, Grancel, and the start of its royal tournament, then ended the stream on a cliffhanger. She said the next stream would pick up with the tournament, and that her save stood at 51 hours with about 15 more to go.
The stream began as a morning chat. She said her sleep schedule was “cooked”, described a dentist appointment that kept changing times, and said her mother had delivered Jollibee after one of those calls. She then turned to Deadlock, reading out the patch notes for the new ranked season and the balance changes, joked that she knew sports only as esports, and said she would be back the next day for a League of Legends Worlds watch-along.
“We’re at a good 51 hours. Just another 15 hours to go.” — Gigi Murin, as she saved at the end of the stream
In the game, the heroes said goodbye to the companions who had traveled with them through the first chapter, reached the capital after an airship delay forced them to go on foot, and passed army checkpoints on the way. Gigi toured the history museum and the capital’s hotel, where chat teased the layout of the rooms, then watched the first-round team battles of the royal tournament. Estelle and Joshua later rescued a nun from a swarm of bees in the forest with the martial artist Jean. They then registered a four-person team with Jean and the wandering musician Olivier. Between scenes she ran laps through the fields collecting cooking ingredients, ate string cheese on stream, and told chat about a dream involving bees and a very heavy pigeon.
Chat answered the hotel scenes with jokes about the bathtub and the beds, and the stream drew seven Super Chats. As the final scene wrapped, viewers greeted the coming tournament with “Tournament arc”. Gigi signed off by saying she hoped the coffee-and-JRPG evening had been a change of pace from the esports viewing that has filled her recent streams.
