Tachitsute Toto Frees the Capua Family From the Glorious in Trails in the Sky the 2nd

NIJISANJI — Tachitsute Toto of Nijisanji played through the floating ancient city of Liber Ark in Trails in the Sky the 2nd on Thursday, closing a stream of more than four hours with the Capua family freed from the airship Glorious and a new squad bound for the city’s underground passage.

The stream picked up at Chapter 9, with the airship Arseille slipping past the Glorious’s fleet before it was shot down onto the edge of the city. Once the party was on its feet, a public terminal gave the city’s name, Liber Ark, which Toto remarked looks like Liberl with the long vowel dropped. Toto spent a long stretch refitting the party’s orbments (the game’s magic equipment) while the crew began repairs on the ship, then explored the city’s transit system, fishing spots and a planetarium lounge.

A city terminal asked for a registered name and a matching biometric reading before it would issue a Gospel, the residents’ portable ID. Kloe’s reading matched that of Celeste D. Auslese, and the party recovered an original Gospel that opened the way underground. Toto also read out a message left in a data crystal by the city’s overseer, who wrote of sealing away a power that had begun to reshape its citizens’ lives and minds.

Along the way the party found Josette of the Capua family fighting puppet weapons beside her damaged ship, the Wildcat. She said her brothers had been taken by the Society, and Estelle’s party brought her along to the Glorious, where Kyle, Dorn and the rest were held behind an energy barrier. A security card kept elsewhere on the ship was needed to open it. The party fought off Gilbert, a former secretary who had joined the Society, and his new puppet weapon, Riot Arms, then freed the captives and fled the ship. Toto reached level 93 in the late fights.

At the close, Toto sent a squad led by Julia into the Liber Ark underground passage and stopped there, saying the next stream would resume from that point and guessing two more sessions remain to finish the game. Toto said the series had become a firm favorite and planned to ask viewers, once the 2nd is done, whether to go on to the 3rd; chat was already debating whether to play the series in order.
