Kikirara Vivi Clears ARK’s Jungle Cave Solo, Settling an Earlier Defeat
The stream also covered a Gigantoraptor tame, a new refrigerator and a scam call that Vivi reported to police.
HOLOLIVE — Kikirara Vivi of Hololive’s DEV_IS FLOW GLOW cleared the Jungle Cave in ARK on her own on Thursday, a challenge she had gone into once before and left unfinished after a fall. “Revenge achieved,” she said as she came out, adding that the cave itself had been less difficult than it was disorienting.
The stream was episode 28 of her Hololive server ARK series and ran about four and a half hours. It opened with good news from her own life: she had bought her first refrigerator for herself, through a hometown-tax donation program, and it had arrived that day. She had spent about two months without one after throwing out her old, smaller unit during a cleanup. She then warned viewers about a call she received from an unknown overseas number. The caller asked whether her voice was all right, since hers was hoarse, then hung up. Vivi said she phoned the police with the number and was told not to answer calls from numbers she does not know. She also mentioned a police-run app that blocks suspicious calls.
“Today I made it through the Jungle Cave alone, and I’m happy.” — Kikirara Vivi, signing off
In the game, she spent about two hours hunting for a Gigantoraptor, working through several wild ones before settling on one whose colors she liked and taming it. She then prepared for the Jungle Cave, comparing gear, packing medicinal brews and working from a video guide. Inside, she lost her way more than once and took damage from falls and from the cave’s creatures. When the screen began to spin she drank an antidote, and she collected the cave’s artifact before working her way back out. Her clear came after about 3 hours and 52 minutes.
Viewers filled chat with “誇らしい” (“so proud”), a phrase they used throughout the evening. Vivi asked chat to praise her, saying she had tried hard, and 14 Super Chats came in, many congratulating her on the Gigantoraptor tame and the cave clear. Her stream appeared to drop offline for some viewers during the cave run and again near the end, and she said she suspected her own connection. She decided against starting another cave and signed off with her usual greeting around the four-hour-and-18-minute mark.
