The two debuted in the same year, 2018, and each used the hour to announce an album.

Roboco of Hololive’s 0th Generation sat down with singer ReoNa for a first-time, in-person conversation on Thursday, and the 64-minute stream closed with a collab hashtag, two album announcements and a promise that ReoNa would cook roll cabbage for Roboco.

ReoNa said she had heard that Roboco was covering her songs and reached out herself, as she is releasing a best album next year and wanted to talk with someone who had sung her music. Roboco said she loves ReoNa’s worldview and the darker songs she often sings, and that her listeners, known as Robosa, had been requesting ReoNa songs. ReoNa said the stream was close to her first appearance in a personal streaming format. The pair settled on a hashtag built from the reversed letter R, the initial of both their names, which Roboco said is read “riaru” in Japanese, after taking suggestions on X. Roboco asked what to call her, and they agreed on “Reonyan.”

“Taking action, telling people what you love, really matters.” — Roboco, on how the collab came about

They found that both debuted in 2018. Roboco said her personality and her mix of clumsiness and high performance had hardly changed, while Hololive’s focus has shifted toward singing and dancing. ReoNa said she is better at voicing her own opinions than before, and described her pre-concert ritual of saying good night to her band and fist-bumping everyone before going on stage. She also recalled singing two long songs back to back at a live show, about 17 minutes in all. The two traded notes on Momonga goods, cooking and cats; ReoNa makes soup at night, and Roboco recommended steamer-basket cooking.

ReoNa announced that two best albums of anime and game songs will be released together on Feb. 3, 2027, in red and blue editions, each with a new recording, and that she will hold her first one-man concerts at Pia Arena on March 6 and 7. Roboco then presented her first album, Jewel Memory, with 10 original songs including new ones, in a deluxe edition and a lower-priced edition with a jacket she drew herself. Both are on sale until 6 p.m. on Nov. 30.

Chat greeted the announcements with congratulations. Roboco asked ReoNa to make roll cabbage, her favorite dish, and ReoNa agreed. They closed by asking viewers to post about the stream under the new hashtag.
