Aoi Heru Spends Birthday Stream Coaching a ‘Little Sister’ Through a Driving Game
The Hoshimeguri Gakuen streamer introduced a previously hidden sister, Aoi Birthday, then spent more than two hours trying to get her to a convenience store.
HOSHIMEGURI GAKUEN — Aoi Heru of Hoshimeguri Gakuen marked Sunday’s birthday with a stream built around a driving game, in which a newly introduced “younger sister” sat at the wheel while Heru shouted directions at her. The broadcast ran about two and a half hours and ended with the course cleared, in Heru’s words, “though it involved a crash.”
After a few minutes of thanking viewers for birthday greetings, Heru said there was no announcement planned but wanted to give viewers one surprise: the sister Heru had kept hidden until now. Her name is Aoi Birthday, and Heru said the parents chose it so she would grow up celebrating other people’s birthdays. Heru called her “Day-chan.”
“Next year, I will absolutely not call my sister.” — Aoi Heru, near the end of the stream
The plan was simple. Heru wanted a birthday present, and settled on a meat bun from a Seven-Eleven. Getting there was not. The sister answered the opening request for a cake with a demand for driving lessons, hit the gas when told to stop, swerved at the wrong moments, and pulled exaggerated faces that Heru described live as they happened. Heru’s commands reached her with a noticeable delay. When a stretch of course finally went well, Heru ordered her to say nothing but “happy birthday” for the rest of the run, and joked that a bot version of the sister had been completed.
The final stretch, on open roads, ended with Heru telling her to turn the wheel all the way right. The car survived, and the course was cleared. Heru then said the sister had not made it through the birthday stream, citing the crashes along the way, and called the world of the game “strange” but not unlike home.
Chat answered with birthday greetings throughout, a wave of applause at the finish, and 11 Super Chats and Stickers. Heru closed by saying the next day’s stream would be an ordinary one at 22:00, with no sister, and that the sister would not be invited back for next year’s birthday.
