Sinon Sinfonia Adjusts Field of View to Fight Dead by Daylight Motion Sickness

Playing the killer for much of an unplanned Sunday stream, the Phase Connect talent said the game makes her dizzier than any other 3D title.

Sinon Sinfonia of Phase Connect spent a guerrilla stream, an unscheduled extra broadcast, on Sunday playing Dead by Daylight as the killer, a role she said she rarely takes. By the middle of the session she had gone looking for a setting to curb the motion sickness it gave her.

She opened by noting that Halloween was already over in Korea, where she is based, but said spooky season was close enough. She had no planned content and had come on because she felt lonely after a collab earlier in the day. Before the game she ran a poll on which burger to order after the stream. A Burger King Whopper led at about 58 percent, and heavy rain outside settled the question in favor of ordering in.

“I’m going to prove to everyone that I’m a professional gamer that you guys cannot bully me.” — Sinon Sinfonia, before her first match

She told viewers she usually plays survivor and had never tried to set up a lobby with viewers, and invites had to go through friend requests. Playing solo, she billed herself as a professional gamer who could not be bullied. She called her first match a warm-up game, then won a few exchanges in the second, though she insisted her success owed nothing to her opponents being newcomers. A later round as the Nurse went worse, and she blamed the map.

The dizziness grew through the session. She said Dead by Daylight made her feel sicker than any other 3D game, and after viewers pointed her to the field-of-view option she found it in the graphics menu and said she could play much better with it. Near the end of the match run, a raid brought in viewers from another channel, and she stayed on to chat, including about learning her duties as a Phase Connect talent and her new alarm for SAGA meetings.

She closed with a childhood anecdote that she illustrated in Paint after OBS showed only a black screen for the window capture, then signed off to go eat her burger. She said she would be back for her main stream at 1 p.m. KST on Monday.
