Ryzar Blazenfang of First Stage Production opened a new Minecraft playthrough on a fantasy mod pack, starting over with an alternate-timeline version of his knight, Sir Ryzeric, and by the end of a stream that ran about six and a half hours had claimed a ruined colony beside a tavern village and made the tavern his home.

He said the run was not a continuation of the story from the group’s recent two-week roleplay event, FS Fables, but a different world in which the character is “not destined to make the same decisions.” He chose a brass dragonborn paladin on the Oath of Vengeance path and asked chat to help write the character’s story, saying he would not set anything fully canon. His own estimate was “10 to 20% roleplay” and the rest “vibes.” He restarted the world once after a desert spawn gave him little to work with, and again after a bug left his abilities unusable.

“It’s not much, but it’s home.” — Ryzar Blazenfang, on the tavern he moved into

Early on he scrounged for wood and food with no gear, lost two newly tamed wolves to a skeleton fight, and took shelter with a fisherman before moving on. He found a village, then a colony site with a ruined settlement, and picked a style for it, naming it the Cupcake Hold after his community. He then rented a room at the village inn and decided to run the place as his own, remarking that the character ends up in a tavern in every life. He spent the rest of the evening on chests, signs and a desk, and the tavern was overrun by zombies at one point, leaving a single staff member alive.

Chat took part throughout. After he stepped away briefly early on, viewers kept watch and he returned to find barbarians at the door. Later, viewers began tossing dynamite at him in the game, and he teased them for it. There were 22 Super Chats and Stickers during the stream, and he ran well past his planned end time, joking that chat had “extended” him.

Before signing off, he said the group had finally received permission to play Dress Maker, and that he would stream it the next evening in Japan. He also said he had a collab with other talents on Friday morning in Asia, and that he planned to put out two releases in November, one themed around Sir Ryzeric.
