Sendo Yuuhi’s Team Ends LTK Regular Stage Winless, Says Playoffs Are Where It Will Shine
In a post-match interview she said she has never lost in an LTK playoff, ahead of the league’s playoffs on Nov. 21 and 22.
VSPO — LR Core, the team VSpo’s Sendo Yuuhi plays on in the LTK League of Legends league, lost its final regular-stage match on Friday and finished all six matches of the stage without a win.
Sendo opened her stream with practice matches, known as scrims, and a review of those games, then watched the other matches on the league’s broadcast before her team took the stage. In the final, two large team fights early in the game went wrong for LR Core, and the fights over objectives tilted away from them from there.
“I think we can really shine in the playoffs, so I’ll do my best.” — Sendo Yuuhi, in the post-match interview
In the interview on the league’s broadcast after the match, Sendo said she and her teammates had put everything into the day after picking up what their coach taught them in scrims, and she apologized for the result. She said there was no room for jokes, even her usual “dosukoi,” a sumo-style shout she uses as a catchphrase. She also said she had never lost in a playoff in her earlier LTK appearances. The team’s coach said communication had improved a great deal but that team fights remained a weak spot, and her teammate Inui Shinichiro said he wanted to grab a win in the playoffs.
The broadcast announced that the LTK season finale playoffs will be held Nov. 21 and 22. Chat answered the loss with encouragement, and the stream drew 45 Super Chats and Stickers, many of them wishing the team well in the playoffs.
Near the end of the stream Sendo said she had never missed the second day of an LTK finale and vowed to be there again, saying, “I’ll be there on day two, for sure.” She closed by announcing a watch party for a T1 match starting at 7 o’clock.
