Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame Fells a Dragon and Wins Back an Airship in Final Fantasy XIV
She first helped unmask a false inquisitor, then fought through a ruined outpost with a party of computer-controlled allies.
HOLOLIVE — Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame defeated a dragon in a dungeon in FINAL FANTASY XIV Online and recovered the airship Enterprise, the goal of the storyline she has been working through in her Sprout Sesh series. The 12th session was shown as a replay for viewers she calls the VOD slumber party. Near the end of the fight she asked whether she had leveled up, and when the dragon fell she cheered, thanked her computer-controlled party members for healing her and asked for the ship.
The path to the airship ran through a standoff at an Ishgardian outpost. To win over the commander, whose inquisitor was blocking the party, she delivered steaks made from mud puppy tail meat to the hungry knights, weakening a mud puppy with a bottle of vinegar to get the meat. She then retraced the inquisitor’s movements, found the body of the real inquisitor in the snow and confronted a knight who had covered for the impostor. The knight confessed that he had been threatened into silence, and the commander apologized to her party. The false inquisitor was later exposed and killed.
“Don’t worry, I can take the dragon. Easy, easy, easy peasy.” — Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame, told to keep watch over a sleeping dragon
Inside the dungeon she spent long stretches searching for treasure chests, and twisters that had killed her on an earlier attempt nearly did so again before an allied healer pulled her through. Past a sleeping dragon she found the Enterprise. Her companions boarded to prepare it for launch and left her on watch, and when the dragon woke she fought it, saying she did not want to hurt it, and finished it with the help of her party. The Enterprise, in poor shape, was taken to Gridania for repairs, and the group learned it would need a corrupted crystal to weather the storm around the Howling Eye. She was sent to find a scholar at Camp Drybone.
Chat answered each mention of the airship with a running “gib gib” chant, and viewers traded tips on mitigation and party roles during the dungeon. Earlier she had paused on the word “succinctly,” joking that it was the unnecessary word in its own definition, and talked about Game of Thrones and Elden Ring while she worked through the outpost’s quests.
She ended the session after reaching the next stretch of the main story, saying she would record, sleep and return to play once she woke, with the replay premiere set to go live on her side channel in the morning.
