Independent Streamer MegalodonVT Gets 100 Gifted Subs From an Anonymous Viewer

INDEPENDENT — MegalodonVT, an independent streamer on Twitch, was thanking an anonymous gifter for 100 gifted subscriptions when she broke off mid-sentence to recover. “Oh my god, wait, hold it, I forgot how to breathe, hold on one second,” she said. She said she was trying to keep herself from crying, told the gifter to make sure they were taking care of themselves, and went on to thank other viewers who had gifted five and nine subs.

She had opened the Just Chatting stream by greeting chat with her “Hi, shark” call and warning that she had eaten right before going live, so any burping was explained. She thanked subscribers for their resub milestones and grumbled when her text-to-speech tool would not work.

When a Christmas song started, chat flooded in with “CEASE”, and she answered that she had the wrong Christmas outfit on before turning to a Grinch song, announcing that she was “grinching it.” Later she called the glow stick emote her favorite among the channel’s emotes as 28-month subscribers were celebrated.

Chat filled with a single emote, HOMIEHUMP, while she talked about adding an emote for it. She then dug through old gifts from the early days of her channel, showed them to chat and welcomed a raid, asking a raider to bark.

Before signing off, she said she was tired and that her knee was cramping. She told viewers she would be back Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern for a handcam stream in which she would build Legos, and said she might also stream on her alternate account.
