Akane Canna Spends 100 Minutes Solving the Riddles of Her Trees: The Puzzle House
The 774inc streamer started early to fit in a puzzle game she had long wanted to try, and stopped only because a birthday countdown was due.
774INC — Akane Canna of 774inc spent nearly the whole of a 105-minute stream on Monday working through Her Trees: The Puzzle House, a puzzle game she said she had been curious about for some time, and ended it declaring the game “really fun” and promising to return to it.
She began a little ahead of schedule, explaining that a birthday countdown for a fellow member of her group would follow later in the evening. Her first click opened a scene with a cat, and she quickly found the game’s pattern: pieces of illustrations have to be moved, overlapped and lined up until letters or numbers appear, which then serve as the answer. Her first solve, about 12 minutes in, drew a burst of applause emoji from chat, and she called the feeling of a puzzle coming together “refreshing.”
“The moment you figure it out and everything just opens up, that’s what makes it so much fun.” — Akane Canna, wrapping up the stream
Not every puzzle gave way. She stalled for long stretches on a hippo scene and a bear scene and chose to skip both for later, noting that she could look at hints but preferred to work things out herself. A sequence puzzle of numbers one through five clicked into place after she revisited an idea she had first dismissed, and a later puzzle about a creature at three stages of life, which she correctly worked out as a matter of order, finally opened after about 80 minutes. On a fish puzzle, viewers began offering guesses, and she finished it soon afterward.
She cleared a final run of puzzles near the 1 hour 39 minute mark, then stopped there. She said she was probably the only one excited, but that she wanted to continue the game when she could find the time.
She said her next regular stream would be Wednesday at 8 a.m., with a short video due the day after the stream, and that she hoped to fit the puzzle game in again the following week. Chat closed the stream with the group’s sign-off emoji and thanks.
