Shishiro Botan and Omaru Polka Host Impromptu Call-In With Six Hololive Visitors
The late-night stream, built on Polka’s earlier kotatsu format, ended with three newer talents hinting at a group cover and promising a game session.
HOLOLIVE — Shishiro Botan and Omaru Polka ran an impromptu *totsu-machi*, or call-in stream, on Monday night, and six Hololive talents dropped in over 94 minutes. The hosts said they had posted the invitation in the talents’ shared server only that evening, told callers they could leave after 30 seconds or stay as long as they liked, and set closing time at 11:30 p.m.
The format came from Polka’s earlier kotatsu call-in streams, which a host said she had waited about a year to see return. Before anyone arrived, the two traded memories of their last official collaboration, in July 2021, and talked about oden, the Japanese winter stew, settling on daikon radish and shirataki noodles among their favorites.
“You can leave after thirty seconds, or stay the whole time.” — Shishiro Botan and Omaru Polka, explaining the format
Mizumiya Su arrived first and spent a stretch chatting with the hosts, saying that since her debut two years ago she had changed little. Sakura Miko then looked in from her own stream, where she was working on a shiny-Pokemon hunt, and the hosts congratulated her on her recently finished live. Sorashina Sopia came next, saying she had been waiting for a chance to talk with the hosts, and the group spent time on nicknames and on what she likes in oden.
Suzuna Tsuzuri and Achichi Mela then joined her, and the three, who share a unit, took up a running dispute over who counts as the older sister. Tsuzuri’s official role as the “pat-pat” talent drew jokes, Mela said her own role is to bring good luck, and Momosuzu Nene stopped in briefly to pat on request.
Near the end, asked what they would like to do as a group, the three said they had talked about putting out a cover video, as past Hololive units have, and stopped short of confirming anything. Botan and Polka invited them to play a game called God Field with them, and the callers agreed. The hosts closed the stream by saying they would eat oden together again.
