Ayunda Risu Says Fans Zipped Into Her Jacket Merch Looked Like a Cult

In her first stream in a week, the Hololive talent recapped her CF panel and meet-and-greet sessions, then dropped offline briefly when her PC lost power.

Ayunda Risu told viewers on Monday that fans gathered in her jacket merchandise looked like a cult. She had seen video of Risuners, as her fans are known, wearing the jacket fully zipped, and said that with more than five people together in it, “it’s creepy.” She laughed it off as an accident and thanked fans for coming to her panel at CF, the event she attended over the weekend.

The stream, titled “Monday Malam Malas” (Indonesian for “lazy night”), opened with a trailer on screen. Ayunda Risu apologized for not streaming all week, saying she had been busy, including cleaning house and taking her cat Yanto for his second vaccine shot. She said she had been given the flowers fans could not fit into the standee at the event and had seen photos of them.

“Mama, I’m scared. Why did you all turn into a cult, guys?” — Ayunda Risu, on fans wearing her jacket merch

She spent much of the evening on CF stories. She said her tongue-out moment at the panel came when a long explanation set off her ADHD, and that the idea to answer the panel’s song quiz wrong on purpose was hers, with the staff asking that everyone get at least one chance to be right. She also taught viewers the slang word “jos” (also “josjis”): “If something is super awesome, you can say Jos.” Cosplayers of her outfits, including men, left her happy.

Meet-and-greet sessions took up a long stretch. She said each fan gets about two minutes, that she usually starts right away and skips breaks when the line is short, and that many conversations were heart-to-heart. “The one thing that makes me happy during meet and greet is usually when people who just did meet and greet walk out with a beaming smile on their face and some are actually like skipping,” she said. She also said she is about 40 percent serious and 60 percent joking, and that she looks scarier when serious.

Around the 1 hour 39 minute mark her PC cut out and the stream dropped offline briefly. She said her UPS, a backup power unit, had not kicked in during a momentary outage, and she and chat traded theories on why before she carried on. She later thanked viewers who sent some of the stream’s 35 Super Chats by name, and signed off after about two hours, saying she was getting sleepy and had begun to lose her train of thought mid-sentence.

Chat welcomed her back at the start and again after the outage, and finished the night with farewell messages.
